The power of Uruz comes from the "spirit" of the aurochs. In ancient times an aurochs was a type of bison. Extremely strong and powerful. At one point in some tribes, it was a test of manhood for a male to kill an auroch one on one. Sadly. the aurochs was hunted to extinction (there have been reports that in Europe, people are trying to bring them "back" through selective breeding). The shape of this Rune represents the horns of the aurochs as it is preparing to charge or is charging. In ancient times the aurochs was also considered to be the most noble of creatures -strong and unyielding till the end.
